[UNFINISHED BIO...] It's not my wish to be self-important, but for the sake of transparency, here is a little info about myself and my intentions with Autonomous Media.

While Autonomous Media is operated primarily by a single individual, and is technically a self-employed company (for immigration reasons), the goal is to create something else which is much larger and not owned by anyone.

 

Enter Autonomous News: a project aimed at decentralizing journalism and breaking down the global information disparity. Inspired by Food Not Bombs, the goal of Autonomous News is to facilitate the creation of worldwide grassroots journalism through a small set of consistent principles. The benefit of this is that almost anyone with internet access can get started, and together we can build a larger network of information which bypasses the filter of corporate news conglomerates.
